Never make a decision when you're angry!

Making decisions is the most critical thing that humans need to do everyday so as not to keep going in circles. The right decisions lead to peace of mind and fulfillment.

Last night I had to sleepover at a friend's place because of the heavy downpour we had throughout yesterday to this morning.

This morning she woke up really angry and I knew she had a fight with her husband so according to her she was beefing with him.

She couldn't wait to just get out of the house this morning, she had her bath, dressed up ready to leave for work while it was still raining heavily.

Her husband, who she claimed to be beefing, spoke to her telling her to wait till the rain stopped a bit because the road would be flooded.

And she answered him rashly telling him that she's got a car. She was gonna drive herself to her work place without anything happening.

When her husband left, I told her that on a normal day, she wouldn't wanna leave the house while it's raining but because she is angry and doesn't wanna stay longer in the house with her husband she decided to leave even when she knows the road is flooded.

She didn't say anything other than "are you coming or not"? I had no choice but to follow my boss lady to the car.

She had documents on her table which she just packed without getting to look at any of them before taking them out.

She hurried to the car and we got in, she placed the documents on the passenger's seat behind while I got in the front seat.

She drove out of her compound with speed and just as her husband had said, there was a big flood. She drove fast so she didn't get trapped in a ditch but her speed did more harm than good.

We got stuck in a ditch and trust me water got into the car, and the car was bent to one side so the documents which she placed on the backseat, fell into the water that entered the car.

When she checked the documents, one of them was the one she wasn't supposed to carry from the house. It was a very important document that could put her husband's company at stake.

Tears rolled down her eyes, her anger left her immediately. Now she's thinking of what to say to her husband and also how to get the car out of the ditch.

Where she was rushing today has been delayed due to her inability to listen and make wise decisions no matter how angry she was.

In the midst of anger we sometimes make the wrong decisions that everyone makes more or less but that shouldn't be the case and it is a very instructive story. Well written.

Anger has made me do quite a few things that I'm not proud of, nothing that serious and most of it being long ago. Yet, I do still regret about those once in a while. Gladly now though, as I grow and learn as a human being, my anger issue is slowly becoming a part of the past.

At least the anger led to an interesting write up. I like your style!

P.S. Do you play chess in real life?
