Haunted memories!!!

It was pretty wet and scary dark outside but Lacey made sure she went out of the house, she was tired of her parents fighting, she had grown to hate her dad so much and so she quietly left the house.

Her dad really had no shame but to always beat her mom to her very face, it was wrong she always cried and pleaded with him to leave her mom alone but he wouldn't listen.

"Does he take alcohol or cigarettes"? People often asked her but hell no! He doesn't, "then what's his problem? Does he just have issues with women, if he did then why did he marry mom"? Lacey asked herself amidst tears.

She loved her mother so much, took care of her whenever she was beaten up to stupor and cleaned her bruises. She didn't want her mom to die. She always prayed that her mom would live long to see her become a very influential woman in the society.

Mary, Lacey's mother had always smiled when Lacey made such a statement and of course would always affirm her daughter's positivity.

Lacey was outside the house now in the rain. She sat beside a tree close to their apartment and heard her mother crying even harder, her heart raced as she felt every pain her mother felt.

She got up and walked to the door, stood there for a while, she couldn't go in lest her dad beat her up too. There she came up with a plan.

She went over to the next door neighbor seeking for help, she looked so sad, sleepy and wet.

"May I use your bathroom first please"? Lacey requested. "Of course you're free!" The next door neighbor was a nice woman who let Lacey in without thinking of her wet clothes.

She felt the poor child's pain and inability to have peace at such an age as she was. Lacey was too young to have her dad beating up her mom on a daily basis.

She was just a child at twelve, she had grown up to witness the beating but never got used to it. Every beating seemed like something new to Lacey because her mother's cry tormented her day and night.

Lacey moved quickly to the neighbors kitchen and slid a penknife in her underpants. She was done with the rest room and so she walked out with the neighbor following and off they went to Lacey's house.

The moment they got to Lacey's door, there was a loud cry and everything went quiet, even the rain stopped.

Lacey and the neighbor rushed in and beheld her mother in a pool of her own blood. Her father sat there with the pistol he used to give her a blow on the head.

Without further questioning Lacey Drew out the pen knife and stabbed him countless times, she stabbed him and made sure she destroyed everything in his body.

She cried so bitterly as she looked at her hands and saw the blood, she also looked at her lifeless mother.

The good neighbor asked her to go wash her hands so that she was gonna call the Corp to come take out the bodies.

Lacey felt miserable, why would she wash her hands? Her mother is gone, who would she stay with, who'll send her to school? All those thoughts ran through her childish mind and as if the neighbor read her mind she said, "I'm gonna adopt you".

Lacey was a bit happy but she'd miss her mom and forever would the memory hunt her.

She screamed as she woke up from sleep waking other girls as usual in the hostel, the memories had come to play in her dreams again. She sobbed as she was taken out to see the doctor.

Wow! It must have been hard for her, knowing that she killed her father right after he killed her mom.
