Campfire. Hive savings. My Actifit Report Card: May 15 2023

I care about people, I care about feelings, and I care about feelings.

Yesterday, I didn't have the energy to post these pictures and these feelings that were with me most of the day. We left at 1pm to go fishing, but didn't get there until 5pm. Even though it was only a half hour drive to our destination.

First we stopped to shop at a couple of stores. Then we needed to repair some of our friend's stuff. We just can't leave each other with unfinished business.

On the way, we moved the fence for later installation at the cottage, where we were supposed to go fishing. Thank goodness we didn't have any difficulties before that. The difficulties came later. The rains and flooding of the rivers had soaked up the ground that we got stuck in the mud and had to pull it out for about half an hour before reaching our destination. Then we jumped into a hole that nearly ripped the bottom out.

By the time we got there, we and the car were dirty as pigs...

But it was already fun.

The mosquitoes and midges were so active at this time that even bug spray did not help us. We had to make a fire and grill everything we brought with us, as we were hungry since morning.

Well and as it turned out, there was almost no wood for the fire, we had to clear the whole glade of dry twigs. There were only marshes, fields, grass and bushes around.

And the sunset with the campfire and our happy faces in the background...

I love days like this!

Ooh what an adventure! Would have made a good story except it really happened. Love the attitude though. Glad you made the most of it all and had a great time nonetheless. The sunset photos are worth it. More happy days ahead to you. Have a fantastic week!
