“No Worries Honey I’ve Got This!”😇 My Actifit Report Card: December 11 2025
“No Worries Honey I’ve Got this!”😇
The YouTube videos have already started!Dozens of videos of people driving their vehicles through deep flood waters!
Not the smartest thing to do!😳
Today the rain stopped…………..🤗
Back to back “Atmospheric rivers”, created this “Perfect Storm”!🙄
The raging Nooksack River, set a new water depth record at 86.17 feet, well above the “Flood Stage” of 83 Feet……..
With very little information being broadcast, Silvertop and Liz decided to carefully drive down to town, and check things out for ourselves!😇
Be sure to check out @elizabethbit post she has some great photos and we also both have 3Speak videos!☺️
Before we left for town, I pulled up the “Live Border Crossing” cameras, for the town of Sumas Wa.
“Liz, no water, it looks like Sumas was spared from the flooding!”👍
First stop the Highway “Gates” for Main Street in Everson.
The water wasn’t just “Over” the road, it was moving FAST heading North like a river!
“Liz I’m sure the levy broke, this water has a strong current!”
Liz pulled up the “Live Border Crossing” cameras once again for the town of Sumas…………
Deep water had now completely inundated the town!😳
Just before Christmas, a little over four years since the last major flood, the town’s of Everson, and Sumas, had once again been hit hard by flooding!🙄
I decided to hike up to the “High Trail” to get a birds eye view of the flooding in the valley.
Partially blocked by the trees on Sumas Mountain, you can still see the flooding down in the valley…………
Everson Wa has an elevation of 83 feet above sea level.
Sumas Wa has an elevation of 39 feet above sea level as it crosses into Canada……………
You can see from the last photo, once a river levy “Over tops” or breaks, it creates a fast moving river headed over the Border flooding Canada as well!🙄
As I type this post the Nooksack River has dropped to 83.44 feet………………
No more rain please!😇😅
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊

It's been a stressful day for the entire western side of the state of Washington for sure!
That it has Liz.......🙄
I'm glad to hear that the rain stopped, and that the river receded a bit. Why on earth did they build towns in these low-elevation locations that seem so prone to flooding? That's a rhetorical question. May the river keep receding, and may the sun shine! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
