“All Dressed Up And Nowhere To Go!”😇 My Actifit Report Card: December 13 2025
“All Dressed Up And Nowhere To Go!”😳
Finally….today, the flood waters completely receded!😇
You can see from the first few photos, the debris that is piled up against any solid object the flood waters flowed up against!🙄
The Blueberry fields acted like a net catching branches, and even larger logs, that were floating North towards the town of Sumas, and the Canadian border!😮
I am sure originally, the owners of the house in the second photo, probably weren’t very happy to have large yellow road closure gates in their front yard. I am sure they feel very vindicated now, after spending over $40,000 to raise their house on the new taller foundation you can see in that same photo!
Facebook, and YouTube, are full of photos and videos of people driving recklessly through deep flood waters with their vehicles!🤔
So many people think they are invincible!
Just yesterday, the Coast Guard had to do a helicopter rescue of a Man stranded in the flood waters in Sumas!😳
I asked Chat GPT about this rescue…………
“ Would the Coast Guard charge the man they rescued by helicopter in the flood waters yesterday in Sumas Wa?”
“No Silvertop, it does not matter if the Coast Guard rescues someone at sea or in floodwaters, the cost are absorbed by taxpayers. Just to let you know this can run into $1,000’s of dollars per hour!”
Just as Main Street disappears out of sight in the background of the fourth photo, that is the location of the Vision Clinic Liz works at, as an optician.😍
It’s almost hard to believe this section of road was under almost 2 foot of river water just two days ago!😮
The Mrs just ordered a couple of powerful dehumidifiers that will be here Wednesday. In the meantime, industrial fans are circulating air through the vision clinic, trying to dry everything out!😇
She, and the eye doctor are hoping to be back open for business tentatively Wednesday!🤗
Another local restaurant is offering free food on Monday to anyone affected by the flooding………..so very nice!👍😊
The river has dropped from 86.17 feet down to 78.25 feet today!
Still flowing high and fast but safely within its banks……. for now!😇
They are calling for another “ atmospheric river” Monday……..
The weather can change quickly…….hopefully it will!🙄
Till tomorrow, Silvertop is enjoying a rain free day today!😎
Till then, Silvertop Mike 😊

Other than water damage, were there any casualties in the flooding?
I don't think so.... information is so spotty at the moment!🙄
Liz tells me they have a no flush toilet order in Sumas, and there's a hazmat team on site.....
Chat GPT tells me the moratorium is not in effect...Lol!😇
I am also curious if any of the dikes actually broke or did the river flow over the top...
I guess we'll get this information gradually Lol!😇
I think that this area has had all that it can take for now, but I also know that if it comes to pass, we will all survive.🤗❤️
Everything looks a whole lot better now that the river receded, though I'm really hoping that you guys don't get another 'atmospheric river' again any time soon! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
