“Liz…… if Mike wants to earn a little bit, he can come to work with you on Friday, and help with the Flood cleanup!”😇
Guys, it wasn’t about making a little extra money, Liz’s boss was in a very tough situation, I wanted to help…………
Just under two feet of very muddy river water completely covered the inside of the Vision Clinic!😳
Just look at the old PC monitor in my photo’s that was sitting on the carpeted floor!😮
Liz tells me it was an old monitor that was going to be recycled anyway………
I asked……………..
“Are you sure it isn’t any good honey?”
I asked this, as water poured out of the bottom of the screen!😬
Boxes of eyeglass frames…..
New rolls of Toilet paper stored on low shelves in cabinets, everything was soaked!
With rubber knee pads on, and a wet/dry shop vac wand in hand, Silvertop spent the day on my knees, vacuuming water out of the carpet!
“Hello, does anyone want a pepperoni pizza?”😇
Dominos Pizza, from the neighboring town of Lynden, was going door to door handing out free Pizza, to anyone cleaning up after the flood!
How very, nice of them, hats off to Lynden Dominos Pizza!👍🤗
Yes there are still good people in the World my friends!
It’s just sad that it takes a crisis for us to recognize them!😍
Our son texted me…………….
“Dad I just worked a 19.5 hours shift cleaning up after the flood working for the County. Good news, Saturday looks to be Sunny!”😎
Our son lives close to Seattle, just over 100 miles away……….
I checked my weather app on my iPhone…..
Cloudy all day Saturday, but no rain!
That sounds great, I’ll take a cloudy, no rain day Lol…. and maybe a few more slices of Pizza, I really worked up an appetite working today!☺️
Silvertop is sleeping in lay tomorrow Lol!😇
