PEPE was looking up, staring at the large pieces of equipment that towered over him!

Silvertop was looking up as well………at the sky!🙄
The dark horizon told a different story!😳
Today wasn’t a day to go too far from home!
Yesterday’s wind storm, had now taken on an ominous look!😮
Hiking deep in the forest during a high wind storm can be extremely dangerous!
Years ago a man sleeping in a trailer, in a secluded community high up in the mountains, was killed when a tree fell on his trailer!🙄
The Winter rains encourage the tall trees to grow with shallow roots………..
Heavy rains loosen the soil, then high winds are able to pull trees from the ground, complete with the root ball!
It’s the perfect storm combination!🙄

So it was decided……. We cut our hike short and headed home!
Safe and warm back home, storm preparations felt like planning for a battle……………
Solar batteries “Floating” at 100 percent charge…… Check👍
Extra firewood inside…… Check😇
Cot and Cyle……… Sleeping Lol😻

PEPE, maybe we should all take a hint from our furry friends…….
Like a ship caught in a powerful storm on the Ocean, it’s best to take down the Sail, batten down the hatches, and ride out the storm!
