That was the weather today from Sunrise (figuratively Lol), to sundown!😮
Rain, and more rain Lol!😅
My Canadian neighbor stopped me the other day, as I was starting my hike up to the trailhead……………..
“Silvertop, I’m selling the place, if you know of anyone interested let me know!”
That was sad news to hear……………
Grant comes down from his home in Canada to spend weekend at this old cabin, he will be missed!
Grants cabin is completely “off grid”!
Our road is quite a mixed bag of homes……
Only three older cabins are left, the remaining homes are all modern.
Grants cabin sits adjacent to one of the oldest original log cabins……….
The owner passed away several years ago.
This almost original log cabin doesn’t have a well, and has only a very primitive outhouse.
It sold to a commercial fisherman for $350,000
I can see why Grant my Canadian friend is interested in selling!😇
I thought today, as the rain pelted my somewhat waterproof jacket, I would check the locks on the doors and windows of Grants cabin…. One more time!😇
First Paul’s old log cabin……….
Now Grants cabin………
The last one not yet on the market, sits high up on a hilltop, on the “High Trail”!😊
It also is completely “Off Grid” and the owner has decided to live out his retirement in Sunny Mexico!😎
Sadly…. I see it selling in the near future!
With modern homes so expensive, these last three remaining, very basic cabins, are being scooped up quickly!🙄
Every window and door was securely locked……….
Silvertop pulled the hood of his rain coat over his ball cap and headed up to Tim’s off grid cabin on the ridge top!😅
Rain or shine the Mountains are calling…….🤗

I do love this old cabin and all the outbuildings! It's too bad we couldn't rent it for a weekend getaway close (seriously close) to home!😍🤗🎄❤️

That cabin and property are glorious! That's sad to hear that these sort of off-grid cabins are being sold, unless they're bought by people that truly appreciate them, that is. I like those sooooooo much more than any modern homes! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
