With so many trails, going many different directions, it’s always a good idea to let someone know where you are hiking!😇

Silvertop let PEPE pick the direction of today’s hike………………
Ever since my green friend started hearing about the possible flooding in the valley, he has had a fondness for the higher elevations of Sumas Mountain!😊
“Silbertop we hike dis way, go to Towhee Ridge!
Chicks like to hang out up at picnic table up top!”🐸
OK…………….🤣
So Towhee Ridge was to be today’s destination!👍
With a second older neighbor now talking to the loggers that just clear cut 80 acres at the top of Silvertop’s road, it’s so nice to see the forest up at Towhee Ridge protected!😇
PEPE stood next to the Stewardship Forest sign…………
“See dis sign, it hav logs in a picture Silbertop!”🐸😮
That it does PEPE………..🤔
Our friends Keith and Lynne set up their land with a written plan with the USDA to protect the forest long after they are gone!😊
Every year they add to the Forest by planting hundreds of baby trees…………
I asked Chat GPT about what could happen to the Forest after they are gone.
“Silvertop, this agreement is completely voluntary. Keith and Lynne probably put it in writing that the Forest and the land will not be logged, and will be here for future generations to hike and enjoy!”🤗
“Dat good to hear Silbertop, it might take many generations of PEPE to find way back home, I think we lost!”🐸
