“Watch Out For That……Pond!”😳 My Actifit Report Card: November 17 2025

“Watch out For That…..Pond!”😳
It looks like “Old Man Winter,” is starting to gain a little traction!😊
Well that’s at least one thing that’s gaining traction Lol!😇
I always thought that cars and delivery drivers, were driving way too fast around this corner of the pond at our trailhead!🙄
A Month or so ago, Silvertop’s neighbor Keith, paid a crew to empty this pond, and widen and deepen it…..and it is deep!😮

With the rains we have been having, this gravel road is extremely slippery!
A few days ago I hiked past the pond, only to discover concrete parking beams anchored in place with steel rebar protecting cars from accidentally driving into the pond!😳
Today as I approached the pond, I saw that my neighbor had installed split rail fencing in front of the concrete beams, as another safety precaution!😇
That’s probably a very good idea, and a lot cheaper than a tow extraction from the bottom of this pond!😊
Fewer and fewer, remnants of Fall can be seen throughout the forest, daylight, and “non- rainy days” as well Lol!😮
Darkness comes quickly this time of year!
“Silvertop I thought you were coming right back inside!”…….. Liz texted!
I wiped the rain drops off my iPhone screen and answered the Mrs…………
“Liz, I am just hiking up to the “High Trail” then I will be headed back home!”😍
Rain had started soaking through my “Waterproof jacket”, I don’t think they make rain gear that can 100% keep you dry in the Pacific Northwest!😅
I checked the weather forecast…………
The rain was supposed to stop at Sunset, and ZERO % chance of rain tomorrow!🤗
Nice!!!👍😎
As I descended back down the “High Trail”, off to the West over the Pacific Ocean I saw “IT”……..sunshine!😎
Well…. Well….. it looks like Silvertop will be able to hang up my wet raincoat tomorrow ………..
Maybe Lol!😇🤣😅
