The Mrs needed to drop off a bulk post card Mailing for the Vision Clinic, at the “Maple Falls” Post Office today!😄
Maple Falls is one of the last small towns, before the steep climb up to Mt Baker!😅
This town is situated on the drier, and Sunnier side of Sumas Mountain!😎
As Liz drove up the Mountain Pass Silvertop checked the weather forecast…
Zero percent chance of rain today and tomorrow!👍
Liz, reached over and turned on the windshield wipers Lol!😇
Hmmm………..
Lol it turned out to be only a short sprinkle!🤗
The Fall colors are more vibrant on this side of the Mountain! That’s probably why this Family of “Bigfoot” was vacationing here in Maple Falls!🤣
“Honey, I didn’t know that Lady Bigfoot wore prescription glasses Lol!”😇
I did say “Small town” ……….
At the local gas station, and quick shopping mart, you can stop inside and connect to their “Free Wi-Fi”!
Guys, you don’t see that too often anymore Lol!🤣
At the main intersection in town, ( the only intersection in town) a large battery powered sign flashed “Artist Point Closed!”😮
Artist Point/ Heather Meadows, is one of the most beautiful high alpine spots in the Northwest!😊
So much snow falls in these Mountains, that the county simply shuts down this road for the Winter, reopening it back up in late spring!
Everyone scrambles to visit this scenic spot before it is closed for the year!
“Silvertop the high Mountains are already covered in snow, Artist Point is already closed!”🙄
The valley, and Silvertop’s foothills, are still a long way off from Winter, but it has already arrived higher up!😊
