“Where Da Fire…….Man?”🐸
With the recent rainy weather, PEPE, and Cot, we’re snuggled close trying to stay warm!☺️
Through the window they watched Silvertop cut log, after log, in the cold misting rain……….
“Liz, what Month is it anyway..……this rain can stop anytime now Lol!”😅
I guess the “boys” were hoping Dad was going to take a break, and come inside and light a fire in the wood stove!😻🐸
Take a look at the fourth photo, this is what I started with last Tuesday!😳
Ten days later Silvertop was down to only two logs!😅
The chainsaw photos feature a very common logging tool, called a Peavey.
This four foot long tool, has a spike at the tip, and a second curved hook that is on a hinge. It’s extremely popular in the Northeast Logging industry, for grabbing, rolling, and the lifting of large logs!😅
It’s like having PEPE, and Cot actually OUTSIDE helping Dad …Lol!😇
Every pickup truck load of stacked firewood rounds, is a solid half cord of firewood…………..
Truckload, after truckload, I filled my truck with firewood. Then I would drive each load around to the backyard and re-stack the wood in a tall pile!😅
“Liz, I’m finally finished….. sort of Lol!”🥰
Five and one half plus cords of wood, estimating conservatively!💪
By the time I split this wood I will probably end up with six cords of firewood!😊
“Liz, I’m tired…. maybe I will light a fire in the wood stove for PEPE, and Cot, and call it for today!”😅
