“Silvertop the Police are behind up with their lights flashing…..PULL OVER!” 😳
Today started with a home improvement run to town……..
“ Liz, maybe we should have gone hiking Lol!” 🥰
I started replacing siding with cement lap siding, and I needed 13 more twelve foot long sections.
Twelve foot long….. I have no idea why they can’t sell this siding in a more manageable length, like 8 foot for the length of my pick up truck bed!😇
So off Liz and Silvertop drove to Lowe’s home improvement store.
I brought along scrap 12 foot long boards to support the extra four foot of this heavy concrete siding that would hang out over the tailgate of my long bed pickup.😊
Honestly, I have no idea what people do with newer short bed trucks. It’s almost impossible to haul building materials anymore, just the wife and kids and groceries. I guess it looks like they have a pick up truck, but trucks made today are very impractical!🙄
I secured everything way over the top Lol!😇
Four ratchet tiedown straps, then I went through two rolls of duct tape wrapping up everything like a Christmas present!
“ We’re ready to head to the coffee shop Liz, then back home, everything is secured!🥰
Halfway home, I spotted a Highway Patrol behind us, with his lights flashing!
Silvertop pulled over………..
The Officer walked up to the passenger window.
I pulled you over because the passenger isn’t wearing a seatbelt!
Liz spoke up……….
“ Yes I am Officer…….. see!” 😇
Liz wasn’t using the shoulder strap, she was sitting with her seat belt on, in the center spot of our truck!
The Mrs likes to sit by Silvertop….🥰
“ Hmmm….. well I guess you are legal using the center seat belt, sorry to pull you over!”
Silvertop slowly pulled back onto the road…..
“Liz, maybe I need some vodka in my
Latte, I feel like the coyote in the third last photo Lol!” 😅🙄
“ Hiking is so much more peaceful honey!”☺️
“Maybe I should have asked the Officer if he minded me snapping a his photo for my post………….then maybe not Lol!”😇

Well......he WAS a bit young to be a patrolman. Maybe he was a newbie! You know they say, when you assume things, it can make an a-- out of U and me! Oh well, I guess they have to start somewhere, but honestly, if you look at the way people were driving right around us, there were far more pressing issues than someone who WAS legally wearing a seat belt! 🙄

Strange that you say that, the first thing the officer told us was that he was recording us on video!😳🤣😇

We need to go back and try the Mexican food. Being pulled over by the highway patrol kind of stressed me out Lol!😅
The more we think about it, it’s very difficult to see if someone has a seatbelt on. We both believe because Liz was sitting in the middle of the bench seat in the pick up truck, he assumed she wasn’t seatbelted!🙄😇
