Just minutes before on the trail, Silvertop was smelling something way too familiar…………………

We just hiked past a spot on the trail where a Cougar was actively marking his territory! “😺
It is Springtime……,adolescent male cougars typically 12 to 18 months of age leave to find their own territory!😺
Liz, our friend Jan, and Silvertop, were well off the beaten path today. We were very close to Canada, deep in the Westergreens tree forest.

We stopped at the “Westergreen Pond”and that’s when I spotted what you see in the fifth photo!

The things people leave out in nature....
Glad no bear was still around after leaving it's droppings or any juvenile cougars giving you a surprise visit. Those wild animals can be a mite unpredictable!
