Not to worry, this isn’t Silvertop’s first rodeo……… or should I say electric driveway gate installation!😇
After numerous attempts at trying to stop water from entering the motor and circuit board of my 10 plus year old gate opener it was time………
Time for a complete replacement!😇
This gate opener is advertised that it can be controlled from over 1/2 mile away, or you can use a smart app on your phone!😊
“ Liz, I can’t really figure out why we would want to open our driveway gate from 1/2 mile away Lol!🤣
My friend at the tiny house is a commercial gardener. He was telling me that at one of his customers homes, they have an older very powerful hydraulic/electric driveway gate opener. He went on to tell me that this gate accidentally closed on someone’s car, crushing the car door!
Ouch!!!!!😳
The modern versions like my new gate opener, have safety settings, and they will automatically reverse if they encounter resistance, like a garage door opener!
This new gate opener also an alarm that sounds momentarily when the gate starts moving!
It’s actually quite obnoxiously loud,……..now all the neighbors will know when we are coming and going Lol!🤣
In addition they give you signs to post like the second photo………..😇
I was finished by 3:30 today, tomorrow I will come back and neatly secure any exposed electrical wiring!😊
Lunch at 4 PM ……Silvertop was hungry and tired!😅
A shorter hike to the overlook, that sounded good for today………
One more “honey- do” project I can scratch off my list!🤗
