Wild and free!😊
Free is good, especially when you are talking about this beautiful “Mourning Cloak “ Butterfly!🤗
They are native to the Pacific Northwest!
“ Hi little guy ! “
Silvertop was hiking up our road with a shovel in one hand, and a bucket in the other, when I spotted this Butterfly!😊
My neighbor David was working on his new covered shed for his two pregnant goats when he spotted me……………..
“ What are you up to today Silvertop? “
“ Something wild and free my friend! “ 😇
It’s tree planting time, and I spotted an 18 inch Douglas Fir tree on the side of the road during one of my hikes!
I’m not sure how this tree escaped the “ Lawnmower Man ! “ 😳
That’s what we call the county worker that mows the sides of the roads in the summer.
Probably the only reason this tree is still alive and growing, was it’s very close proximity to a telephone pole!
You would be surprised how many neighbors stopped to asked this same question as they drove up the road Lol!😇
This was a long trek up the road to get to this tree, and then Silvertop spent more time replanting!😅
I happened to spot a second tree, further up the road, this one was a Canadian Hemlock!
A second time I headed back up with my shovel………….
This time I had Marshall, another neighbor, that was driving up our road stop to see what Silvertop was doing…………
At the same time Keith and Lynne were coming down our road and stopped next to Marshall’s car!☺️
Silvertop was causing a stir on our little dead end road…… and a traffic jam Lol!🤣
“ Carry on Silvertop don’t let us slow you down we’re just visiting with other neighbors, it been a long winter Lol! “ 🤣
“ Guys I think I have a SECOND shovel if you want to help! “😇
