No snow, no rain, and I’m seeing glimpses of a big fireball in the sky Lol!😎
It was hiking time!😊
I stopped in the meadow, just before the uphill climb!😅
Everything was dripping wet, and most of the snow had melted.
With nighttime temperatures below freezing all this week, Keith is getting plenty of sap for this year’s Maple syrup production!🤗
Two years ago Liz, and Silvertop tried our hand at maple syrup making. The sap needs to be boiled down to produce the final delicious golden syrup!☺️
We discovered it took approximately 15 gallons of tree sap, to achieve one quart of Maple syrup!
The boiling needs to be done outside, and it took all day!🙄

A cold northeastern wind was coming up Soaring Eagle trail from the valley below…………..
Then it started “spitting” snow flurries as I descended the switchbacks down the Mountain side!
This time of year as Spring approaches, the humidity rises, making the “wind chill” temperatures feel much colder!

That’s a wrap, daylight is waning quickly……………..😮
I just learned that “daylight savings time” is this weekend. We spring ahead one hour Saturday night!
More daylight in the evening, and the spring equinox will soon be here as well, even more daylight for evening hikes ! 🤗
The northeaster wind continued blowing……….but Spring is unstoppable it’s almost here!😊
I believe I see it, just around the next bend of Silvertop’s trail!😇😎
