Yesterday as Silvertop and Liz hiked along the Ocean we stopped in the Alaska ferry terminal.
Inside was a display case, filled with photos of this historical tall sailing ship, along with a nautical sextant, and other seafaring memorabilia.
On a side note……..
Silvertop discovered that our local discount tool store “ Harbor Freight “, actually sells vintage brass nautical sextants for $22.99 !😁
“ That’s cool Liz, I really don’t know what I would do with a sextant, or how to use it, but they look awesome! “ ☺️

I snapped so many photos down at the Ocean I wanted to share………..
This park, and the connecting network of hiking trails, follow Bellinghams deep water sea port.
Take a look at the photo of Railroad bridge…………..
One of our local fresh water lakes feeds a stream, that continues down, and out into the Ocean!😊
We were at high tide, and still the stream was flowing fast out to the Sea!
We need to return during the local Salmon run, I’m sure it’s impressive to was these saltwater Salmon making their way back upstream to spawn!
Then again, it’s impressive just to sit here, and watch the waves crash on the shore!☺️
