The Holiday are coming fast………..
Is it already Thanksgiving week? ☺️
This time of year, the weather can change in a day…………or even in a few hours Lol!😮
People always joke that a weatherman , is the only job that you can be wrong fifty percent of the time, and still keep your job Lol!😇
“ Living Simply “ for Silvertop it’s quietly hiking on a forest trail covered with a thick layer of leaves!
Did Silvertop say quietly Lol!🤣
Taking advantage of a beautiful blue sky day, and enjoying the outdoors, because tomorrow it might be raining!😅
In a previous post Silvertop talked about how you can approximate the age of a tree.
Take this tall Douglas Fir tree in the second to last photo……………………
This tree is close to 500 years old!😮
Many have hiked past this tree throughout the years.
This tree stood on the side of the horse drawn wagon road that carried “ Prospectors” to the Gold mine, at the turn of the 20th century!
It was already a very tall tree then!😇
As darkness covers the forest, hikers like Silvertop head back home………..
The forest is quiet………………
These giant trees, continue standing watch over the forest!
Tomorrow will bring a new group of hikers……….
Years will pass…………..
These “ Legacy “ trees will be waiting, watching over the forest!🤗

The earth and trees will live on, our journey here on earth is pretty damn short... There are trees in California over two thousand years old. It really puts thing in perspective, one should enjoy life day by day because tomorrow is never guaranteed. I wish I twenty five again!
