Still Waiting!!!😳
For two days everyone on Silvertop’s street was asking the same question………..
When are they going to remove that very large Maple tree blocking the road!😮
This is my neighbor Marshall, in the first photo. He has been trying to pick up medication for his wife that is ill………..
He drove down to the tree blocking the road numerous times hoping to be able to get to town……..
Mike, in the third photo, is another neighbor Silvertop hasn’t seen in a while.
It turns out he just had open heart surgery! He looks to be doing well, he was out getting his @actifit steps yesterday, and today I see he is driving!😀
“ Uh……. Mike, look up above your car, you have a “ widow maker tree”, that looks like it’s about to come down on your car!”😳😬
Finally the repair crews arrived this morning!🤗
Silvertop and Liz’s driveway is just before the down tree……………..
The Mrs and Silvertop drove down our road this morning no problem, we were checking out a new Church, in our town!😀
Coming back home was another story………
“ Sorry ma’am, the road is closed!”
“ But we live just BEFORE the downed tree, we are the very first driveway on the left just AFTER your barricade!”😇
This took a few minutes of repeating that we didn’t want to drive any further up the road before he conceded and let Liz drive forward!☺️
We were home!!!🤗
“ Silvertop they might not let us hike up the road because of the repair crews!”😮
No worries Liz, we have numerous hiking trails, Silvertop can always find his way up into the Mountains!”😇
Today’s destination Westergreens timber harvesting forest!
It had been a while, we will be hiking close to the Canadian border!😀
Just past the tree marked “ Timber Harvest”, turn left…..,see it ……..the trailhead is just ahead!😇
This trail is almost as hidden as Silvertop driveway Lol!🤣
At least no one minds Silvertop and Liz hiking, the forest is welcoming!😀
Trees take root in some of the strangest places, like these old tree stumps!🤔
You can find many of these scattered throughout the forest!
Finally we reached the ridge top!
The view is ever changing with the seasons!
“ I see fresh snow on the Canadian Mountains honey!”🥰
Jan our friend had evening obligations, and it was beginning to lightly rain……..
Silvertop could have stayed for a bit, and enjoyed the view…….it had been a challenging couple of days!😮
“ OK…… let’s head back home , the Mountains will be here tomorrow!😇
