It was still early this morning when the Mrs got the callโฆโฆ..๐ณ
โ Hi Liz, we had a Cougar attack last night!โ๐ผ
Our neighbor Kirt and Alma, lost one of their goats, the Cougar killed and dragged the Goat to the next house!
We have four neighbors close to us, that have livestock animalsโฆโฆ..mostly chickens and goats.
The second photo is sunset over Kirt and Almaโs barn.
Silvertop didnโt want to go any closer, Kirt told Liz he was staying up all night watching for the cat!๐ณ
Alma was concerned about Silvertop and Lizโs safety, hiking in the evening with a Cougar on the prowl!๐ผ
โ Thanks Alma we are running to town, we will be careful hiking this evening!โ๐
Itโs that time of year, with fresh snow on the peaks, the cats are coming down lower.
If you remember just yesterday Silvertop spotted a Bobcat!๐
We headed off to townโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆ
Liz was driving, and she is particularly fond of this roller coaster style road that leads to town, that she fondly calls โฆโฆโฆ
โ The Wee-wee road !โ๐ค๐๐คฃ
Our local volcano, Mt. Baker, was draped with a fresh layer of new fallen snow!๐
Depending on the day, you can see steam rising from a vent near the summit!
This was our Monthly shopping trip to Costco, and it was an experience today!๐ณ
The parking lot is over twice the size of the store, and 99% of all the parking spots were taken!๐
Ohhโฆ the humanity Lol!๐คฃ
Silvertop was run over by a shopping cart, before we even got to the front doors!๐ฌ

oh do be careful on your hikes. I think it's great to live closer to nature, but one needs to be aware of wildlife around too. I wouldn't mind deer on the yard, but I'd be spooked with bears and wild cats LOL :P happy new week ahead.. and new month in another day!

They roam over 200 miles, so we never know how many are nearby.๐บ
A couple years back, a neighbor, put out a game camera, and captured a video with a mother and two cubs in the forest just up the road from our home !๏ฟผ๐ป
