" ON THE ROAD AGAIN"! π.......................... Actifit Report Card: October 16 2023
β On the road again!β π
Silvertop knew from the sound of the wind outside that today was going to be an βInsideβ day!βΊοΈ
Several electrical utility trucks were headed up Silvertopβs roadβ¦β¦β¦.
βThatβs not good Liz, I just checked, WE have grid power!βπ²
Our water well pump is on grid powerβ¦β¦β¦.
Silvertop grabbed a quick shower!
Our first powerful storm of the season!
We decided to shop first, probably a wise decision, you never know how wind storms will play out!π¬
Sumas Mountain was circled with very dark storm clouds!
We were headed to several stores in town.
More paint for Silvertop!π
This fellow in the third to last photo, looks a bit stressed from the storm outside!π³
βNot to worry my friend, Liz is treating us to a mocha and a latte, on the way home!βπ₯°
Liz checked her Starbucks app, she is accumulating/hoarding, points that will go towards free drinks!
βHow many points do you have Liz?βπ
Silvertop checked HIS iPhoneβ¦β¦β¦β¦
βHoney, I have 3,492 BTC Satβs on my βWallet of Satoshi, how many lattes can I get for that?ββΊοΈ
Hmmmβ¦β¦β¦..
βNot many Silvertop, you better keep saving Lol!βπ₯°
The storm was still raging on our trip back homeβ¦β¦β¦β¦..
βGood call Liz, not exactly a hiking day!β
Stay dry everyone, till tomorrow Silvertop Mike π

Looks like winter wants to move in early! Hopefully the coffee was good... Wow, so you're no longer completely of the gird now?
We use grid as an emergency back up for very snowy gray days!π
Solar power runs the house, A/C, heats the hot tub etc!π
Looks like it's gonna rain. How you got the sats? Lol
The wall is Satoshi is a very simple, βcustodial walletβπ
I am always cautious with custodial wallets !π
β not your keys not your cryptoβ!
Iβm just dipping my toe in the lightning network at the moment !ππ€

Go home!!! Not until you've had your latte, hehehe!!!
We actually look forward to rainy days @silversaver888!π
Itβs an excuse to have a coffee date !π₯°
Your posts are so much fun. I hope the storm is over by now and that you're all safe. It's good to see you guys have an alternative to hiking when it's all rainy or stormy. It's also good to see more of your area esp. where you guys go for shopping. Scary dude for Halloween! LOL! I would love to have one like that to scare my noisy and messy neighbors :P Happy midweek!

He is a scary dude, heβs supposed to be Jack Frost!π³π¬οΏΌ
He scares me because of his cost, at Home Depot you can pick up Jack Frost for $200 !π¬
I imagine that there is someone who would buy a $200 Jack Frost! It's not me, but someone, somewhere...π π π π β¨ π€

Iβm sure you are correct my friend, but I agree, not me!ππ
I enjoyed your harrowing adventure to town, @silvertop! I hope that your electricity, and everything else, faired well during the intense weather! I definitely come to really appreciate being on a solar electric system off grid! May your satoshis grow massively! π π π β¨ π€
Looking for the morning sunshine on my solar panelsπ
Batteries at 98 percent fully charged at 7:30 AM π€π
Nice! 98% by 7:30AM is incredible! You either have only a few batteries, or you have a very efficient system! π π π β¨ π€
6.3KW total Solar array, divided into four separate arrays, that combine together.
The Pacific Northwest is rainy in the winter, I need the larger array to keep my batteries charged!ππ
Ah, OK! Indeed, very good thinking! Our system powers the whole community, so we periodically add another battery or solar array. It rains a lot here in winter too, so we have a backup gas-powered generator just in case. π π π β¨ π€
That sounds very smart, it looks like you have planed for winter rains! It also rains a lot here in the winter time, and with the high winds sometimes we will lose our back up........ grid power!
Just in case I have two generators, in case one fails Lolπ
This off-grid community is going on 20 years, so they've gone through lots of trials and tribulations in that time. The system works pretty well most of the time now. It's a good idea to have grid power as a backup, and to two generators as the backup's backup! π π π β¨ π€
Absolutely correct my friend!π
Up here in the northwest, we have blizzards that can ice up our solar panels so we need redundant backups !πποΏΌ
I've come to very deeply appreciate redundancy, and in everything! π π π β¨ π€
I have as well, my friend. Itβs a sense of peace and security, knowing you have a back up.ππ
Yep, indeed, exactly, and a backup that you know works! Priceless! π π π β¨ π€
Absolutely correct my friend!ππ
Happy new week to you, @silvertop! π π π β¨ π€
π€ππ€β¦β¦ A very happy new week to you as well, my friend!οΏΌ
