My Actifit Report Card: October 7 2023

Just the two of us!😊
The Mrs got the text early this morning…….. our friend Jan is sick!😕
“ Feel better Jan, I guess it’s just you and me hiking today Silvertop!”🥰
I started the morning as always splitting and stacking firewood!😅
“ Silvertop it’s going to be hot today, how about after your firewood, the two of us hike, before it gets too hot!”🥰
It’s like a date with the Mrs in the forest!😍
Well we thought we were alone…………😳
“ That’s fresh Bear scat Liz!”
Spots along the shore of the pond were beaten down as well!
This spot at our trailhead is always Mr Bears cafeteria!😲
My backpack was shaking………………🤔
Hmmm that’s odd Liz…………
I quickly took off my backpack, and unzipped the main storage section………….
Out popped @actifit-lamb and one of her relatives Lol!😊

We continued hiking………
Our goal today was the upper ridge top.
Keith placed a wooden bench at this overlook.
Looking towards the eastern side of the valley below, I was surprised to see so much fall color!😊
After @actifit-lamb rested a bit, ( she was very tired from Silvertop carrying her and her sibling), we started our hike home!
We passed what was left of an old western red Cedar tree, that was burned in a forest fire over one hundred ago!
Take a look at the size of this tree and the trees around it in the last two photos.
You can see Liz in one photo, that gives you an idea of the size of these magnificent trees!😊
“ I am tired Liz, can Lamb the walk of the way home Lol!”😅
“Honey, she’s afraid of the Bears, we only have two more miles till we are home!”🥰
