NO BULL, THE SUN IS BACK! 😀 ................... Actifit Report Card: October 3 2023

No Bull, the Sun is back!😎
With a quick flip of the switch, the sun was streaming through the forest canopy!
The Mrs wanted a different hike today, and I suggested the “Lautenbach” trail!😊
The last time we explored this network of trails was the third week of July.
The next day Liz and Silvertop came down with Covid!😳
“I still feel OK honey Lol!”😇
For those of you that don’t recognize the Lautenbach trail head, most locals call it by its more recognized name……………
The “Gold Mine Trail!”😊
As you can see in the fourth photo, Liz will go to extreme lengths to capture “That” special photo!🥰
The next two photos were taken at the stream crossing of “Hayden Creek”
The ground has been so dry this summer, with the lack of rainfall, that the creek is just a trickle……..for now!😇
Soon this creek will be a torrent of fast moving water!😮
The trail at this point runs along a shelf, and it’s a slippery climb down to the rocky creek bed, and then onward to the other side.
“Silvertop I see a mushroom way down below us, Jan and I are not going any further. Can you climb down, and snap a mushroom photo for me?”🥰
I tried to convince the Ladies, that just above this stream crossing, was a very impressive waterfall!🤗
Jan wasn’t buying into Silvertop’s story, and Liz just gave me “THE” look!🤔
Silvertop climbed down the EXTREMITY DANGEROUS hillside……….😇
“That will be $5.00 Lol!”🤣🥰
It was time to turnaround………….
We were met with a stunning view of the valley as we descended out of the forest!😊
“Liz this is another spot I would love to have a home, what a beautiful view!”🤗
This time of year, you just pick your way through the ever changing weather of rain, and then sunshine Lol!😎
“Sun tomorrow as well Liz…….nice!”🥰
