It’s that time of the year, the Bears are bulking up at the apple orchard, getting ready for Winter!
“Yes Cot, that’s what a Bear looks like, they are much bigger than your Cousin Phoenix!”😬
Several piles of “Bear Scat” have been run over by passing cars… squished flat in the road!😲
Silvertop spared everyone the photos Lol!🤣😇
The third photo is where a Bear ran across the road in front of Liz, Jan, and Silvertop this Spring…….
The three of us froze in our tracks!!
Once again it’s time to be very cautious!
For most of the year, you do not even know the Bears are around.
During the spring and fall they become very active, and potentially dangerous!
Bear spray check……………
Hiking alone, check, Silvertop what are you thinking Lol!🤔
I will stick to the open gravel roads, when Liz is at work!😇
I hiked to the pond and the trailhead………
You can see from the water line along the shore that we definitely need some more rain……….
This is the “watering hole” for the local wildlife, including, “Mr Bear!”😮
Did you hear that……Could it be!…….😳
Nope, it’s only Liz!🥰

Most likely I would freeze if I encounter a bear in the wild.
