Is it fall?😊
Suddenly the leaves are falling…………
I’m sure some of this is from the extremely dry summer, and then we have been having torrential rains the last two days!😲
“ Liz, the leaves aren’t just falling, take a look, they are changing color, it must be Fall Lol!”😇
Silvertop was outside playing electrician today!☺️
I was out back, remounting an outside porch light at the entrance to my “pump house” after I finished spray painting.
I didn’t even notice the Mother Deer and her “not so small anymore” babies!🥰
They have become daily visitors, they know Fall is just around the corner!
They are like vacuum sweepers for the yard, devouring all fallen leaves, Lol!🤣
They are also eating every green apple they can reach!
I have watched in amazement as they stand on their back legs like a prairie dog, reaching for low, hanging fruit!😇
It’s nice to see them so often, they come right up to me as I am working!
I am trying to somewhat ignore them……….
With hunting season just around the corner, I don’t want these Deer to become too trusting of humans!😮
Rain today, rain again tomorrow……………
I paused on painting outside, and focused on sanding and scraping, and general prep work, under the cover of my wrap around outside porch!😇
I went to check out Keith and Lynne’s greenhouse…………
It looks like the harvest is almost in!🤗
I was just talking a while back to @drlobes about “ fried green tomatoes”!
“Liz, I wonder if Keith will have any EXTRA green tomatoes?”😇
Yep, Fall is coming!
I even noticed that this ATM machine in town was advertising “Bitcoin on every block”!☺️
I’m still trying to figure out what “every block” means, but that’s a good sign!
Perhaps Silvertop needs to “ squirrel away” some BTC……… after all it is Fall!😇

Our babies are so cute and they need to stay on our property where they are safe! Perhaps we should fence the perimiter with 6' high fencing so they can't leave! Just kidding, but seriously!

you live in a beautiful place! our tomatoes are red already, made soup twice because we have so many lol. It looks like fall here too! A lot of rain and dropping temperatures already, it feels like October already...

And about fall, a few days ago I had some pictures with loads of "autumn leaves" around and I didn't post them, I didn't want some people to think that I'm posting old photos :)) Yup, fall has been creeping in under the cover of all that heat, but for sure its here, tomorrow is September already, another year almost gone 🙁

What essence is the wood you use for fire in the winter?
I mostly burn, Douglas fir, ponderosa pine, Ash, Alder, and maybe a little Cherry wood
Most of them sound like fast burners?
They can be, but I put in a large new airtight stove.
I always try to burn a hot fire once each day or so, then I choke it down and it will burn for at least 12 hours…😊
12 hours??? One day you'll have to show me that stove, 12h+ is no joke :)
The stove brand is Englander, it is built a bit different.
The flames and smoke don’t go straight up, they are directed at the glass door, re-burning the smoke and extracting much of the heat
But but that looks like a normal stove, funny how technology works, great for efficiency.
It really is quite different………
It has a fire proof fiberglass board, that traps the smoke and flames and forces them to go towards the glass door. Then there are high temperature stainless steel air tubes with rows of holes that bring outside air under this board to increase the burning rate.
These holes are aimed towards the glass door also forcing the flame and smoke to go forward .
This makes for an impressive inferno display through the glass door!😊
By the time the smoke goes forward, and then up the chimney, it has produced more heat, and very little is left going up the chimney.
I honestly like the old style, wood, stoves, better, during high wind if you open the door to quickly, smoke will pour out!😮
But…… It burns very little wood, so I guess it’s a keeper !😇☺️

Very trusting deer, Your right to ignore them though with hunting season coming up. They won't live long if they trust people.
Enjoy the rain, finally things are cooling down which is nice. I don't mind fall, but hate the white stuff that comes after! 😂
