Just a little more rain please!😊
Just enough rain today to make all the plants go………….
Ahhh!🤗
This is the first rain we have had since the beginning of June!
The egg shack in the third photo has been closed for a while. I guess the chickens were protesting laying eggs during the summer heat wave!😮
I hiked down the pass today………….
Liz wasn’t up to todays hike…………
This has been a very nasty bug!🥺
One minute partial blue skies, then gray and rainy!😅
Even without rain this summer, you can see what happens to cabin, when they are neglected!
The forest is eating this cabin in the fourth to last photo!😳
If not corrected soon this cabin will become worthless………. Such a waste!😮
I turned around at the intersection of two mountain passes, and headed back home!😊
That’s when I saw (Our) mother deer and her two newborn babies looking to cross the road.
A car came speeding way to fast up the hill and Silvertop froze!😳
Mother deer herded her babies away from the road!😇
That a good Mom!🥰
Take your babies back to Silvertop’s and Liz’s forest, the three of you will be safe there!🥰
That’s when I heard the “clop, clop” of tiny hooves as the two babies scurried across the road following mom!😊
I’m sure she is taking the babies “home”!🤗
Liz will tell you that there is a neon sign above our forest, telling all creatures that they are safe here!🥰
From Bobcats, to Cougars, to Black Bears, and now “our” deer family. We have had all these in “our” forest at one time or another!
I’m sure they look at things a bit differently……………
“They” are allowing Silvertop and Liz in their forest!😇
We are happy to share!
Next year these babies will be fully grown, and we will watch another generation “clop” through our forest!🥰
How nice is that!

You could put a tarp over that cabin and put a sign out to say, "Please save me!"
Lol that’s probably what it needs!😇
What’s really sad is that about 10 years ago someone repaired this cabin mowed the lawn, and rented it out.
It actually was a cute little cabin !😊
They are so sweet and I worry for their safety! Mom is a good mom, but not all drivers are good drivers! I've seen all too often, what happens when steel meets fur.
Hopefully, they stay safe!
Hopefully mom will keep her babies far from the road!!😍😇

That's some great wildlife! Places like that old abandoned cabin will just get swallowed by nature. But just a thought, might be a great place to go metal detecting!
