Good weather……Silvertop stopped painting at 4 o’clock, Liz was looking forward to today’s hike!🥰
“Silvertop are we hiking soon, I want to get back in time to upload some macro photos for today’s post!”☺️
Everything is growing quickly……………
We hiked past Keith and Lynne’s garden, just look at everything, they definitely have “Green thumbs” Lol!🤗
In the next photo you can see the thimbleberries are ripening up nicely!
The Mrs found a few along today trail, that were ready to eat!
We discovered that our neighbors from the tiny house were up at Keith and Lynne’s garden…………
They, and another neighbor Amy, were picking berries ……………….
“Silvertop do you want some fresh picked thimbleberries?”
Thanks guys, but I just had a latte back at home before we started today’s hike!😇
They were also digging up Cattails, for a man made pond they recently dug and installed next to the tiny house!😊
Notice the water line on the Cattails along the shoreline.
No rain for over a Month, and the water level of the pond is starting to drop!😲
More berries in the second to last photo………🤔
Unknown berries ……………….
The first rule of snacking alone the hiking trail, is have someone else prove that the “berries” are safe to eat !😇
“If we get home soon Silvertop, I will make french onion soup!”🥰
Definitely safe to eat Liz!
Make a large pot, Silvertop didn’t get any berries, and I am hungry!🤗

My neighbors have such a harvest. They usually put out veggies throughout the summer to share with all the neighbors!😊

Always got to be careful with unknown berries and mushrooms! Those thimble berries and tomatoes do look great though. Sounds like you finally got a break from all the rain, kind of nice to escape those rainy days in the north west!

Yes, I’ve heard stories of “ experienced “ mushroom hunters, getting sick because they accidentally miss identified a poisonous mushroom !😬
