Living in the high Mountains of Colorado, I crawled under our electric fence to check on our horses……..
I thought I would take a shortcut, instead of walking back to a gate by our house.
OUCH!!!…….😳

Silvertop is playing with bald face hornets!😬
With 50% chance of rain returning today, I headed outside to clean and prep another section of my garage for painting!
That’s when I looked up above my garage doors………..
The overhang had several Wasp nests, and this good sized Hornets nest!😲
I figured they might be a bit slow moving today, with the temperatures in the low sixties!😇
I have a pole tree pruning saw that extends to twelve feet.
Silvertop that sounds like a good distance to be from extremely angry bald face hornets!😊
These guys are like the Navy Seals of attacking insects!🐝
They send out pheromones, to other hornets, and they will aggressively come after you!😳
I hooked the Hornets nest with the blade at the top of my pole trimmer……….
Down it came, way too close to Silvertop!
Empty nest………….😅
I like empty Lol!🤗
That’s when the rain started………….
Hmmm….
I guess we’re getting the 50% rain they were calling for!
Well the creeks are running low, I guess we do need the rain Lol!🤔
Silvertop can stack some more firewood in the rain Lol!🤣

Hornets are nasty little buggers! I know as I've been stung 4 times by them. I DON'T recommend it!

Oh scary. I remember someone touched an open wire, and he was thrown. He's alive though.
Electricity can be very dangerous, nothing to play around with!!
This monday someone comes to my place to remove a whasp nest. Size now is a decent grapefruit but this will grow if we do nothing. Will costs us 70 EUR because I am not allowed to do it myself by the wife and neighbours!!!! (I had several plans but all bit scary)
