My Actifit Report Card: March 16 2023

Putting the brakes on!😳
Silvertop was on a quest today…………..
One thing I have learned over the years, is that you never know what might be around the next bend!😇
I had my “ Construction Hat “ on this morning Lol!
Later this Spring I will be pouring concrete, so I was checking out several gravel suppliers for the best price!😊
Yesterday I picked up a yard of gravel for $19 in town…………….
This morning I took a road trip to one of the concrete companies.
It is located on the scenic Highway leading to Mount Baker!
In the second and third photo, I am approximately 20 miles from Mt Baker our active Volcano!😊
I figured I could get a better price, we have plenty of rocks around here Lol!😇
“ That will cost you $31 plus tax Silvertop”
Obviously, this was not cost savings at all!😳
I told the man behind the counter no thanks, and headed back downhill………..
Over the years, Silvertop and Liz have traveled this Mountain highway many times. When we pass the “Ostrom Conservation Site” a network of hiking trails, we always talk about stopping and checking out these trails, but we never have…………..
The concrete supplier was a bust, I’ll just pull over here and check out these trails!😊
I didn’t go far up the trailhead………..
I had tools in my truck, and Silvertop didn’t want to “Free gift” these to anyone that drove by Lol!😇
That’s when my truck was surrounded by several large Ziply Fiber Internet trucks!
“ guys how long do you think it’ll be till fiber comes up my road?”
Well Silvertop, we have a lot of work to do, we’re just checking things out today!😇
Hmmm……….
Sounds like a script Lol, I am sure they get this question a lot Lol!😮
So today I discovered a new set of trails, that was awesome!🤗
Then I returned to my first gravel supplier only to find they had raised the cost from $19 a yard, to $31 a yard!🤔
Who said inflation was under control!🧐
Put those brakes on my friends and take a hike, the last time I checked hiking is still free!🤗
For now Lol!🤣
