Day two of cold Arctic air ……🥶
If you look at the photo of the frozen pond, you can actually see how the wind pushed the water creating ripples as it froze!😮
What’s that Silvertop…….
You can hear the Mountains calling!😊
I’m almost ready, just a few more morning chores!😇
They say you are not supposed to spray paint at this cold of temperature…….
16 degrees Fahrenheit today!🥶
I warmed the paint can up inside, and then quickly sprayed my seedling tree stakes…..
Mission accomplished!🤗
More demolition of my outside deck………..
That’s when my IPhone rang…………
My phone was buried deep in one of my insulated bib pockets…….😳
“Hello Silvertop, we have a funeral at Church Saturday, a visiting Pastor wants to use his sound system……. Presumably plugging it into our Churches!”😳
That’s not very wise Jamie, tell him to just pick up one of our Churches microphones, we don’t need any sound problems Sunday!🤔

I was over 10,000 @actifit steps, by 3:00, I was read for todays hike!😊
I decided to head up to the entrance to Westergreen’s Douglas Fir forest.
Today’s trail took me by Keith and Lynne’s “ Water Ram”.
I have talked about this interesting pump before!😊
Look, there, off in the distance, in the sixth photo…….
That plastic box contains a water powered ram …….
Can you hear it??😇
It’s just like a pendulum on a clock, constantly shifting back-and-forth, pumping water, uphill!😊
Keith told me he has some of the overflow water pumped to a bird bath up at his house.
If the bird bath stops, he will know to come down here and check on the Water Ram!
That a smart idea!!😊
I made it past the “Spooky Forest”’ and started down the Douglas Fir trail to Westergreens.
I checked my watch………….
Hmmm………
Sunset is coming quickly, and I was entering a secluded section of trail where we have spotted Cougar scat!😼
It’s Friday as well, Silvertop’s is going to head home!😊
