Our son wanted to show Mom and Dad some more of the local Mountains so the five of us loaded up in his Kia and went exploring!🤗
Bill started driving, and Silvertop was fumbling with the back seat belts!😳
Guys have you been in this situation……..
The back seat belts ALWAYS get pushed down into the seat Lol!🤣
Where are they!!!
Liz couldn’t find hers as well, this soon set the Mrs off in laughter!🤣
“Don’t worry honey, Silvertop will seat belt you in Lol!”😇🥰
“Are you guys ready back there Lol!”
Finally we drove away…….
“Wow that was work Liz!”😅
We started hiking in a true “Old Growth” Douglas Fir Forest.
I wasn’t prepared for the sheer size of these old giant trees!
Liz and Agi look so small compared to these impressive trees!
I should have measured the circumference of these Fir trees.
I have a formula on my phone where I can estimate their age!😊
This is the middle fork of the snoqualmie River Valley. It is open to foot traffic, or horses only.
It good to know everyone is working hard to preserve this beautiful forest!
All to soon the Sun was setting, time to head back to our sons home.
The entry to their townhome is down a second flight of stairs by the garage.
With the three of us taking off shoes and coats simultaneously I had “Flashbacks” of our seatbelt adventures in Bills Kia Lol!🤣
“Is it time to eat, I’m sure I burned some calories just getting back home Lol!”😇🤣
Life is always an adventure my friends !

Really good place that I would like to and see the scenery but it’s far a ways for me.

Your seatbelt comment made me remember a story. I was in Africa and took a taxi. As per habit, I pulled the seatbelt and put it on only to find a thick spreading of dust all across my nice clean white shirt. I don't think the seatbelt had ever been used before!

Probably about 10° colder. They are up higher closer to the mountain peaks.😊

And then, when you go to the other side of the mountains, the eastern side of the Cascades, it can be extremely cold🥶

When we lived in Colorado grade school, kids used to dare other kids to put their tongue on metal flagpoles!
In bitter, cold weather, you cannot get your tongue off the pole!😳
Oh, I think I saw video recently on FB doing that, and the person's tongue was stuck in the flagpole.
It can be funny, but it can also be serious if they try to rip their tongue off the flag pole!😳
That’s what it’s like living in bitter cold mountains in the winter time !
Yeah. Why do they even do that. My friend in Canada told me, skins are very sensitive during the cold that it's easy to get a cut.
These are mostly kids in the school yard, they are just playing, but they could actually get injured!😳
Yeah. That's harmful.
