Liz came home last night from work and said……..
“Silvertop you need to go look at a house in Everson, they just jacked it WAY UP!😳
Early this morning, paparazzi camera in hand, Silvertop headed to town to take pictures!😇
The Mrs works at an Optical store in town, next door is a German specialty Restaurant.
The owners had three feet of water in their home from the flood last November!
They love the house, and the location close to their restaurant, so they decided to lift the house to prevent future flooding.
The owner saw me taking photos and stopped to talk……….
“Silvertop what do you think, quite amazing isn’t it?”🤗
He told me it cost $30,000 to raise and lower this house back on the foundation.
An additional $40,000 for the new foundation! Then there will be the additional cost of repairing and renovating the inside of the home after it’s placed on the new foundation!
They are pouring a 6 foot high concrete foundation under this house, and then framing a 1 foot high short Wall on top for a total of 7 feet higher than original!😲
If you look at the third photo, that’s where the owners of this restaurant are living now, and have been living since November!
I’m sure this must be quite a challenge for a family, I hope this work goes quickly for them!😊
