Then Lynne drove off to hike with some of her friends………Elsewhere!😬
The second and third photo were taken where the Bear was spotted.
Silvertop was hiking alone…………
I started to get that “This isn’t a good idea” feeling!😲
The rain storm intensified………….
Hmmm…..Maybe I should turn around for today. It jut started pouring rain, and there are safety in numbers, when hiking with a known bear in the vicinity!😇
I can get my steps on the road back home!😊
This was a good call, by the time I reached my driveway, I almost needed a boat Lol!🤣
Today was supposed to be a lawn mowing day!
That’s not happening Lol!
Back inside and dry, I pulled out the step ladder to change out two smoke detector batteries, one of which started “chirping”, a sign of a low battery.
Cot being a climber, you can see in the last photo that he was more than willing to help Dad change out these batteries!😻
The Mrs pulled in the driveway………….
“Liz we have a very large Bear up by the pond!”😲
“Silvertop I hope he enjoys this rain!”😅
“Hike early tomorrow morning?”

(Mountain) Lions and tigers and (black) bears, oh my! 🙀🙀🙀 I think I'd much rather meet up with a mountain lion than a bear. At least having had kitties for a couple (or more) decades, kind of gives you the idea of how they may act. A bear-not so much! 🤗😘💞🐻🐈

Now I suppose your ceiling is so high, you chose to put the chirper (that's what I call the smoke alarm) by the window.
Bears... I think that now I all allergic to bears, hahaha!
When I was an electrician in Colorado, most of the homes had very high ceilings. We always placed smoke detectors a couple of feet down from the highest spot to detect smoke quickly!😊
We just hiked and Liz was “On edge”, everyone in the neighborhood is being cautious because of this Bear!😳
