It’s nice to live off the beaten path……….
My road was once a logging road, now twenty or so privately owned homes are nestled in the forest, not much happens here.
Today that changed………….
After a morning of yard work, I grabbed my backpack for a hike.
I passed Eric one of my neighbors…….
“Did you see Tracy”, he asked….
Tracy lived on this road several years ago with her Mother. Tracy needs help, she has taken too many drugs, and is delusional!
She insisted that Eric’s Grandson is her child, and she tried to forcefully take him!
The neighborhood watch teletype works very well up here…….very good neighbor’s!😇
Everyone was alerted, including Dan our resident Police Office!
Several homes have small children, and all the neighbors are paying very close attention to see if Tracy returns on another day.
For now she has left our sleepy little road, and Dan the Police Officer, found her in town hitching a ride ……….
I continued my hike today……..
Several times I was stopped by other neighbors, that were concerned and wanted to understand what, and why, this happened today!
Good neighbors are so very important………
No worries we all have each other back!😇

It is unfortunate that Tracy is back; she needs help, but you can't help someone who refuses it.

Can she not be forced to go to rehab... if she is forcing a child?
Ah... good neighbors are important!
It was my neighbor who take care of my home and my three Yorkies when I suddenly was hospitalized!
Unfortunately @silversaver888, no one can force her to go to rehab..... She has been in and out of rehab numerous times she will check herself out, then she's back on the streets getting high....
It's really an unfortunate situation several of the neighbors on our street grew up with her years ago, many have tried to help her, she says she is fine. She tells everyone she does not need any help, and then she goes back to living on the streets.....
