My Actifit Report Card: February 4 2022

This also applies to the harvest, whether it’s the cornfield in the valley or the timber on the mountain side.
Silvertop loves the Mountains, and I don’t like to see the timber cut down……….
I also understand that the lumber you buy at Home Depot has to come from somewhere……….
When I see responsible reforestation/ replanting, I know they are planning for the future, not just a quick buck!
Take a look at the last two photos I took on today’s hike!😊
This local logger completely clears the old stumps and plants the Mountain side with trees!🤗
The second to last is a field of young Western Red Cedar trees, and the hillside in the last photo is planted with Douglas Firs!
Both of these trees are native to the Pacific Northwest, and with the rain, and snow fall we get they are extremely fast growing!
Even with today’s rain, the clouds parted at the ridge top, and I was able to see where I was!😇
I snappped a couple of photos of the valley below. If you look really close Lol, you will see Silvertop’s Church below!😊
You are looking at the town of Sumas wa. And further beyond Abbotsford Canada!
These new trails, that are literally at the top of my road, go for miles along Sumas Mountain and beyond to Canada!
So much to explore!!!!🤗
