My Actifit Report Card: November 18 2021

Rain………..
The cleanup in the valley started, and then the rain started ….again!😲
An empty building lot in town has become the free community disposal site.
One valley resident stated that his insurance company was paying him for his house/ loss and then they were going to bulldoze the home!😟
I pulled my raincoat hood over my head and hiked………
Did I say I was very thankful to live in the foothills!
Mid 30’s ,this is a cold rain Silvertop!🥶
A possible storm front next week…..
I don’t think the ground will absorb any more water.
I passed Mike and Joan as they were driving to town.
They stopped to talk for a second.
I told Mike, that I was hoping the rain would be gone for a day, a week, or maybe for the rest of the year!😉
They just gave Silvertop a smirk, and told me to stay dry!😅
I took a photo yesterday of the highway that runs to the Canadian border, and today’s fourth photo shows how heavy the rain and clouds are taking from the same spot!
No view today, and the wind is blowing the cold rain!
I decided to stick to the gravel roads today, trying to stay somewhat dry.
As the rain intensified, I considered turning around. I usually don’t start a fire in the wood stove till evening, my house holds heat well. Today before I hiked I started a fire. I knew I was going to get wet!
Then as I hiked further the rain lightened up! I was standing on one of Keith and Lynne’s switchback’s that takes you to their home high above the valley.
The clouds lightened, and I could see the flooding in the valley below.
How Blessed we all are up in the Mountains, all we need to deal with is a little rain!
