Humility is a choice?
Humility is the willingness to acknowledge others the way they are. By confessing your faults, you will find peace, instead of anger and resentment. When you allow others the freedom to make mistakes, you can also do your best to make yours.
Humility brings security to all of us. Humility is the way we can forgive and the way we can say, "I'm sorry." Humility is the first step to self-awareness can only happen when you are humble. This alone keeps us grounded in reality.
Humility is our moral compass. Humility makes us want to better our world for others and for ourselves. When humility brings us to the realization that others need and deserve as much goodness, love and support as we do, we have a powerful personal mission.
Humility does not mean that you have to be perfect. Nothing could be farther from the truth. What it does mean, however, is that you have to be true to yourself. Don't hide your flaws, your character defects and your humanity behind a mask of humility. If you do so, you will undermine those around you and put them in a very difficult position.
Humility also allows you to use your gifts and talents to the best of your ability. I think of humbliness as the fuel that allows you to excel. Without humility, we would have a very boring society indeed. People would stop trying so hard and truly be content just getting along. And that would be a very unpleasant world indeed.
You can see the positive benefits of humility every time you are successful in business or in your personal life. The more humility you exhibit in all of your endeavors, the more you will succeed. People won't recognize your talents if you don't acknowledge them. If you don't put them out there for everyone to see, how can you expect them to notice what you have? People will appreciate your efforts and your honesty if you display the kind of humility that allows you to admit that you were not perfect in that situation but that you did your best.
So don't be afraid of humility! It just makes life a little easier. It's part of who you are. And it's a great way to help others.
So what do you do about humility? You need to discover how to incorporate it into your life. Go out there and get humble. Put it on display. Allow others to recognize it and enjoy your effort.
It doesn't matter where you are. Humility is just as appropriate at the boardroom as it is at the beach. Don't wait for special circumstances to come around before you feel comfortable expressing yourself. When people know that you take pride in your humility, they will be drawn to you.
The most attractive traits of humility are its flexibility and its simplicity. People are drawn to people who are confident and modest. And they are also attracted to the notion of being connected with someone who is just like them - humble and down-to-earth. In other words, everyone wants to be around someone who is just like them.
Humility is also a gift to give. Think of it as an expression of love. It lets people know that you care about them. You see, genuine humility is not just a mask or a costume. Real humility is actually a growth within you.
There are some bad effects of humility.. If you are already self-conscious, it's okay to work on becoming more humble. But in order for humility to be effective, it has to become a natural expression of yourself. That means that if you are already feeling insecure or inadequate, it is likely that you will keep doing things that will make you feel worse. That's why it's so important to work on humility before it gets out of hand. Once you have mastered the art of humility, you can relax and trust that it will help you in all aspects of your life.
If you haven't been feeling confident, try humility. You'll be surprised at how it can improve your life. And just think, what could be better than getting everything you ever wanted without any struggles? That would be humility..
