When you said "drones", I initially thought that you were referring to those flying electronic devices normally outfitted with a camera, though I figured out that you meant something else deeper !INDEED. ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿค“

Sleepers, NPCs, those still trapped and entranced by the slave matrix. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

Since I love playing, I very often encounter NPCs in games, and their actions are normally only staying in one place or patrolling the same areas over and over (until the end of the respective game). ๐ŸŽฎ I occasionally think that some NPCs in multiplayer games are possibly controlled by ("real") humans! ๐Ÿ˜†

Very curious. I already answered this reply, but Engage just took me here once again, and there is no reply, so Ecency's nonsense is rearing it's unpleasant head once again. What I said in my previous (disappeared) reply, how is that any different from most people going about their habitual routine every day, often with no thought or awareness? They used to do that in Asheron's Call with NPCs every now and again. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

While I love playing, there still are many games that I am not aware of, such as the one you mentioned on your comment there. ๐Ÿคฏ I wonder what you were referring to with the phrase "used to do that", whether it's the NPCs or PCs (player characters), or both. ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜…

Asheron's Call was a massive-multiplayer online game that went on for years under Microsoft, then when it was sold to Time-Warner (I think), they ended it. It had quite a large following. I meant that the admins would sometimes 'take over' certain NPCs and play them for a while, to unfold various story lines. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

Some NPCs in (multiplayer) games sometimes behave !WEIRDly, such that some players would guess that some humans (such as game masters) are actually playing them !INDEED. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜…

I'd say that in those cases, if it's any kind of massive-multiplayer game, that admins are likely logging in and having some NPC fun. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

It would seem more !FUN (probably more for the game masters than the players themselves) if the game masters disguised as NPCs make powerful attacks that bring the player characters' health down to zero (and destroy/steal some items too)! ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฃ

I don't know, I kind of like the idea of players teaming up to battle a boss NPC being played by an admin. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ’š โœจ ๐Ÿค™

If that "boss NPC" gets played by a game master or admin, then it no longer remains as an NPC until its human operator logs out !INDEED. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿค“

True, but it would be just as fun no matter the nomenclature. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

I wonder which among the NPC being played publicly known or secretly by a game master/admin is more !FUN (for the players or for the game admins) though. ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜…
