Wasp Botok

Botok wasp is a food that is usually processed by people in several areas of Central Java and East Java. Wasp botok is made from a wasp nest that contains young bees or larvae that are still in the nest.
Wasp nests containing larvae will be put in banana leaves and seasoned with chili, tamarind, tomatoes, brown sugar, and shallots which are then steamed together. Besides being delicious, wasp botok is also believed to be able to nourish the body and increase stamina. In the Banyuwangi area, there is a botok wasp stall which is quite famous.
