Bull Run Or Bull Shit?

For weeks the STEEM price was lingering around 12 -14 cents on any given day but today (1/28/2020) Steem has took an unexpected price leap to 20 cents.*

The Steem token is no stranger to bear/bull runs as it has already seen its worth reach around $8 USD per token in 2018. After reaching such highs it crashed to later again rebound to being worth $3.50+ to then crash again.

If today is the start of another run this will be the third time the STEEM coin USD value has fought its way back from the ashes. Steem the community and blockchain on the other had is thriving just as it always has.

USD worth per token isn't the only way to measure success and regardless of if this sudden price rise is the start of another bull run or not the STEEM blockchain has allot to offer.

To name a few of those things, Steem-Engine has recently introduced NFT's to the STEEM blockchain, Splinterlands is constantly reaching out and creating partnerships with other chains which introduces new players to the Splinterland game and the Steem Blockchain. But the most important part of the Steem Blockchain is its community. There's a decent size group of die hard Steemians and those people are the reason STEEM will succeed.

Is this price rise the start of a bull run for STEEM?

I only chose this because I want it to be true. I am about as "on the fence" as I can be, in reality.

Just made the mistake of selling a set of Splinterlands cards without thinking about how dumb that was. Got a lot less Steem than I was planning on, and by the time I converted, I was down like $25 on top of getting less Steem than I thought.

I don't think anyone knows for sure.

The price is just as likley to X 10 over night as it is to drop to 5 cents.

Crypto is volatile.

I picked this because it won't be a run, if you look at the sell orders on the various exchanges they are very small so breaking those selling at those low prices didn't take a lot of money. Steemians don't wait to sell, they sell at any price but with so little liquidity it's easy to "moon" the coin with like a 20k - 50k order on the right exchagne

Let's be positive.
And even if the price of Steem will go further down, for example to 4 cents ($0.04 USD), then at least even I will buy some.

Just waiting for Bitcoin to lead the way and break that 9K resistance mark.

Steem at least looks like it's holding above what was resistance, but the last time it broke resistance it only stayed above for 3 days before falling back below.

Will see if it can stay above support this time or if it will fail and break through again.

Hi @rentmoney

I seriously do not see any reason for another sudden bull-run. Especially on steem blockchain. There isn't much news that could bring more demand and trust in a long run. Short term pumps are not sustainable in my opinion.

Anyway steem bull-run is last think that we need right now. Delivering SMTs and HIV ES need to be a priority - so I would rather like our focus to stay on blockchain development instead of shifting into price-movement and another hurray bull-run.
