The policies needed to run a crypto related advert is much more sophisticated, this is to ward off scammers from using their platform to scam people. Google is known for having $147 billion just from advertising, coupled with the addition of crypto advertising, their revenue will have a solid high boost.

The requirement needed to advertise cryptocurrency related adverts is so strict it will discourage the scammers from advertising. Google claim to be trying their best to promote legitimate cryptos. Financial Crimes Enforcement Networks (FinCEN) is one of the authorities that all advertising must register with before considering advertising. They are also expected to have a state who represents as a money transmitter.

Restrictions on what type of coins that will be placed on adverts is also another rule, ICOs are not allowed to be promoted, the advertisement of Defi trading protocols is also prohibited , celebrities are not allowed in a way to also promote any crypto, this is really a great restriction because of the past experiences a lot of people had had due to fake celebrities endorsements.

I personally think that this is cool, I just hope that scammers that find a new way to fabricate all the requirements listed by Google. When they do this, and still scam people, the credibility of Google will be on trial.
