Innumerables películas ya han salido de Batman, siendo ya habitual verlo en cartelera cada cierto tiempo. Este título en específico le da el protagónico a Robert Pattinson, lo que me genera dudas al comienzo, pero visto los resultados considero buena elección. Se estrenó hace poco, siendo el director Matt Reeves.

Countless Batman movies have already been released, and it is already common to see him in theaters from time to time. This specific title gives the leading role to Robert Pattinson, which makes me doubt at the beginning, but given the results I consider it a good choice. It was released recently, being the director Matt Reeves.

Sinopsis: El alcalde de Gotham City acaba de ser asesinado, en el lugar del crimen, había una carta con un mensaje críptico y que en su parte posterior se le destina a The Batman. Comenzando con esa pista, Batman tratará de usar sus dotes de detective para tratar de entender el caso y atrapar a Riddler.

Synopsis: The mayor of Gotham City has just been murdered, at the scene of the crime, there was a letter with a cryptic message and that on the back is intended for The Batman. Starting with that clue, Batman will try to use his detective skills to try to understand the case and catch the Riddler.

Una película larga de casi 3 horas, en que el avance de los acontecimientos es lento. Reconoceremos a diversos personajes ya famosos de la franquicia como Catwoman, Pingüino, el teniente James Gordon y otros. Si bien hay variadas escenas de acción, algunas bastante trepidantes, se intenta desarrollar un caso de misterio para que el espectador intente descubrir los involucrados y las razones del mismo.

A long film of almost 3 hours, in which the progress of events is slow. We will recognize several characters already famous in the franchise such as Catwoman, Penguin, Lieutenant James Gordon and others. While there are several action scenes, some of them quite fast-paced, there is an attempt to develop a mystery case so that the viewer tries to discover the people involved and the reasons for it.

He de decir que si bien es interesante el caso, no me llegó a sorprender del todo, tal vez le faltó algún giro. Por otro lado, Riddler si bien es el enemigo que no lucha sino usa enigmas para mostrar sus razones; llega a quedar un tanto corto de tensión, especialmente al final.

I have to say that although the case is interesting, it didn't surprise me at all, maybe it lacked a twist. On the other hand, Riddler, although he is the enemy who does not fight but uses enigmas to show his reasons, is a bit short of tension, especially at the end.

La selección de Robert Pattinson me parece plausible y buena, debido a que el Batman que interpreta no es parecido al de trabajos anteriores, sino uno más apático y misántropo. En los otros personajes, me parece bueno el trabajo de Colin Farell como el Pingüino. Los otros papeles son aceptables o regulares.

The selection of Robert Pattinson seems to me plausible and good, because the Batman he plays is not similar to the one in previous works, but a more apathetic and misanthropic one. In the other characters, I think Colin Farell's work as the Penguin is good. The other roles are acceptable to average.

La producción y el trabajo en efectos especiales es bueno, aunque el trabajo en luces, dándole un aspecto demasiado oscuro, puede no permitir seguir con atención la historia. La música como siempre desarrolla bastante el ambiente.

The production and special effects work is good, although the lighting work, giving it a too dark look, may not allow to follow the story with attention. The music as always develops the atmosphere quite a bit.

Considero que este The Batman es bueno, pero no llega a deslumbrar, como los mejores títulos de la franquicia. Si te gusta ver las aventuras de este superhéroe de DC, no te la puedes perder.

I consider that this The Batman is good, but it does not dazzle, like the best titles of the franchise. If you like to see the adventures of this DC superhero, you can't miss it.
