Hay dos situaciones interesantes que pueden ocurrir antes que veas una serie o una película. Que un título haya recibido una buena recepción, pero a ti no te guste; o el caso contrario, que haya recibido una mala recepción y a ti te guste. Con esta serie me pasó lo último. Estrenada este año en Disney+. Producida por Marvel, y teniendo a Jessica Gao como guionista principal.

There are two interesting situations that can occur before you watch a series or movie. That a title has received a good reception, but you don't like it; or the opposite case, that it has received a bad reception and you like it. With this series, the latter happened to me. Premiered this year on Disney+. Produced by Marvel, and having Jessica Gao as lead writer.

Sinopsis: Jennifer Walters es la prima de Bruce Banner, Hulk. En un accidente que tendrán los dos, Bruce realizará una transfusión a su prima, provocando que ella adquiera sus mismos poderes, pero manteniendo la conciencia. Ella tendrá que vivir una vida como una Hulk, mientras ejerce su profesión, abogada.

Synopsis: Jennifer Walters is Bruce Banner's cousin, the Hulk. In an accident that the two will have, Bruce will transfuse her cousin, causing her to acquire her same powers, but keeping her conscience. She will have to live a life as a Hulk, while practicing her profession, a lawyer.

Como mencioné al comienzo, esta serie ha tenido una mala recepción de parte del público principalmente. Entre sus puntos negativos más obvios, está un pésimo CGI en varias partes de la serie; por otro lado, puede volverse un tanto random en varias partes; especialmente con ese final de temporada.

As I mentioned at the beginning, this series has had a bad reception from the public mainly. Among its most obvious negative points, is a lousy CGI in several parts of the series; on the other hand, it can get a bit random in several parts; especially with that season finale.

Ahora, si bien es una serie que tiene esos puntos negativos. Tengo que decir que me ha gustado, principalmente por su comedia, la dinámica de eventos que ocurren, el de desarrollar varios personajes, el uso de la cuarta pared y saber hacer uso de algunos cameos de algunos personajes del mundo Marvel.

Now, while it is a series that has those negative points. I have to say that I liked it, mainly for its comedy, the dynamic of events that occur, the development of several characters, the use of the fourth wall and knowing how to make use of some cameos of some characters from the marvel world.

También me gusta la música, especialmente mezclado con un ending llamativo. Por otro lado, la serie guarda algunos secretos y sorpresas que se van revelando acercándose al final. Sobre el capítulo final, si bien me parece peculiar, no llega a funcionar del todo.

I also like the music, especially mixed with a flashy ending. On the other hand, the series keeps some secrets and surprises that are revealed closer to the end. As for the final chapter, while I find it peculiar, it doesn't quite work.

Si te llama la premisa, y eres capaz de aguantar un mal CGI, puedes tratar de darle una oportunidad.

If the premise appeals to you, and you're able to put up with bad CGI, you might try to give it a chance.
