Uno de los superhéroes que conoci recién cuando salió su película, fue el de Shazam. Hasta antes de verla no sabía de su existencia, pero su premisa me acabó convenciendo y gustando. La historia de un niño que adquiere los poderes y apariencia de un superhéroe. Después de varios años llegó esta segunda parte. Estrenada hace poco y dirigida por David F. Sandberg.

One of the superheroes I only got to know when his movie came out was Shazam. Until before I saw it, I didn't know of its existence, but its premise convinced me and I liked it. The story of a boy who acquires the powers and appearance of a superhero. After several years came this second part. Recently released and directed by David F. Sandberg.

Sinopsis: Luego de los acontecimientos de la primera película, vemos como la familia de Billy Batson se adapta a una vida con poderes, con sus respectivas responsabilidades. A su vez, luego de que las hijas de Atlas consigan el antiguo bastón del mago, tramarán contra la humanidad, a la vez que buscarán derrotar a Shazam.

Synopsis: After the events of the first film, we see how Billy Batson's family adapts to a life with powers, with their respective responsibilities. In turn, after Atlas' daughters get their hands on the wizard's ancient staff, they will plot against humanity, while seeking to defeat Shazam.

Lo que queda claro luego de unos minutos es que las 3 hijas de Atlas son las villanas de esta historia; la lucha se dará en diversos momentos, hasta el tramo final que está repleto de acción. La mezcla se repite, comedia y acción durante las 2 horas aprox. que dura el título. Si me consiguió variadas risas.

What becomes clear after a few minutes is that the 3 daughters of Atlas are the villains of this story; the fight will take place at various times, until the final stretch which is action-packed. The mix is repeated, comedy and action during the 2 hours approx. that the title lasts. It did get a few laughs.

Aparte de ello veremos los problemas de la familia al adaptarse al rol de superhéroes, mientras Billy duda de su futuro luego de los 18 años. A mi parecer creo que se le debió dar más tiempo a esos temas ya que son más divertidos de ver. Por otro lado, la historia de las villanas, si bien entretiene no deja de ser una historia simple sin giros ni trasfondos interesantes.

Apart from that we will see the problems of the family adapting to the role of superheroes, while Billy doubts about his future after 18 years old. In my opinion I think more time should have been given to those issues as they are more fun to watch. On the other hand, the story of the villains, while entertaining, is still a simple story with no interesting twists or backstories.

Todo lo que son los efectos especiales y el CGI es satisfactorio. Por el tema de la actuación, las villanas no llegan a convencer, las interacciones entre ellas se siente un tanto hueco. La música no destaca mucho en esta ocasión.

Everything about the special effects and CGI is satisfactory. On the subject of acting, the female villains fail to convince, the interactions between them feels somewhat hollow. The music doesn't stand out much this time around.

Como resultado final, si bien me he entretenido se que es un trabajo simple, que le faltó un mayor desarrollo de las villanas. Aún así, si te gustó la primera, no debes dejar de ver esta nueva entrega.

As a final result, while I was entertained I know it's a simple work, which lacked a greater development of the villains. Still, if you liked the first one, you should not miss this new installment.
