Hay películas que me hacen dudar sobre cuál debería ser su público objetivo, ya que tienen aspectos que hacen dudar si es para un público infantil o no. Eso me pasa con este título. Fue estrenado el 2021. Los directores son Don Hall y Carlos López Estrada.

There are movies that make me doubt about what their target audience should be, since they have aspects that make me doubt if it is for a child audience or not. That happens to me with this title. It was released in 2021. The directors are Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada.

Sinopsis: En el mundo Kumandra ha ocurrido una desgracia, los dragones que la habitaban han desaparecido, y debido al sacrificio uno de ellos una gema mantiene a raya a espíritus malignos. 500 años después, debido a disputas, esa gema se rompe trayendo el mal. Raya, la protagonista, se encarga de colectar las partes por 5 territorios, acompañada del último dragón.

Synopsis: In the world Kumandra a misfortune has occurred, the dragons that inhabited it have disappeared, and due to the sacrifice of one of them a gem keeps evil spirits at bay. 500 years later, due to disputes, that gem breaks bringing evil. Raya, the main character, is in charge of collecting the parts for 5 territories, accompanied by the last dragon.

Lo interesante, y entre sus puntos fuertes, está el contexto creado para la trama, el mundo mágico, las disputas de clanes, los dragones, y batallas con espadas, la hace muy entretenida. Sin embargo, siento que cuando podían tomarse más en serio su trama lo evitan, y peor aún, infantilizan demasiado ciertas secuencias. Se siente que podrían haber aprovechado más su mundo creado. Hay 3 personajes interesantes, y el resto acaba siendo relleno para acompañar.

The interesting thing, and among its strong points, is the context created for the plot, the magical world, the clan disputes, the dragons, and sword battles, makes it very entertaining. However, I feel that when they could take their plot more seriously they avoid it, and even worse, they infantilize certain sequences too much. It feels like they could have taken more advantage of their created world. There are 3 interesting characters, and the rest ends up being filler to go along with it.

Otro de sus puntos fuertes es la animación pero en específico, la fotografía de varias secuencias, le dan un aire épico, especialmente a algunas batallas. La música es del tipo folclórica, que acompaña correctamente diversos momentos.

Another of its strong points is the animation but specifically, the photography of several sequences, they give it an epic air, especially to some battles. The music is of the folkloric type, which correctly accompanies various moments.

Si bien la película tiene un resultado final aceptable, creo que darle un carácter más serio a la trama, le hubiera sentado muy bien. Recomendable.

Although the film has an acceptable final result, I think that giving a more serious character to the plot would have done it a lot of good. Recommended.
