Reseña: Ratatouille // Review: Ratatouille
Luego de ver de nuevo Inside Out, me dio por repetir de ver mi película favorita de Pixar, Ratatouille. Ya han pasado años desde la última vez que la vi y quería dejar mi reseña en Hive. Estrenada el 2007, siendo su director Brad Bird.
After re-watching Inside Out, I got the urge to re-watch my favorite Pixar movie, Ratatouille. It's been years since I last saw it and I wanted to leave my review on Hive. Released in 2007, the film was directed by Brad Bird.
Sinopsis: Remy es una rata con unos excelentes sentidos del gusto y olfato; a su vez, está intrigado con la idea de cocinar. Es cuando su familia de ratas tiene que mudarse forzosamente, que acaba siendo de ayuda para el empleado de un restaurante, Linguini. Es ahí donde tendrá diversas aventuras, que le permitirán explorar sus habilidades.
Synopsis: Remy is a rat with excellent senses of taste and smell; in turn, he is intrigued with the idea of cooking. It is when his rat family is forced to move, that he ends up being of help to a restaurant employee, Linguini. It is there that he will have various adventures, which will allow him to explore his abilities.
Si bien esta es una historia lineal, es una trama bien contada, con diversos personajes bien desarrollados, desde los principales, aliados y antagonistas. Hay diversos mensajes que van desde la lucha contra la intolerancia hasta la búsqueda de la vocación. Hay una buena mezcla de comedia, drama y un toque de romance.
While this is a linear story, it is a well-told plot, with various well-developed characters, from the main characters, allies and antagonists. There are diverse messages ranging from fighting intolerance to finding one's calling. There is a good mix of comedy, drama and a touch of romance.
Una de las cosas que más me gustan, es su capacidad para transportarte a su mundo, con sus reglas, en donde de alguna manera la magia y lo imposible sucede. Y eso sin alabar todo el tramo final, cerrando con una gran canción, Le festin de Camille.
One of the things I like most, is its ability to transport you into its world, with its rules, where somehow magic and the impossible happens. And that's without praising the whole final stretch, closing with a great song, Le festin de Camille.
La animación a pesar de la cantidad de años que han pasado me sigue pareciendo excelente; sin embargo, ya se ven las costuras a la primera media hora. Siento que la mezcla de colores ya no funciona tanto, así como el diseño de la abuela del comienzo. La música hace bien su trabajo, más allá de la canción principal.
The animation, despite the number of years that have passed, still seems excellent to me; however, the seams are already visible in the first half hour. I feel that the color mixing doesn't work as much anymore, as well as the grandmother's design at the beginning. The music does its job well, beyond the theme song.
A pesar de los años, esta película me sigue pareciendo tan buena como cuando la vi por primera vez. Muy recomendable.
Despite the years, I still find this movie as good as when I first saw it. Highly recommended.
