Junji Ito es un mangaka reconocido por su capacidad de crear historias de horror asombrosas, eso lo pude comprobar al leer Uzumaki, una excelente obra que mezcla espirales y un pueblo afectado. Hace poco pude leer el manga corto, Black Paradox, que es del mismo autor. Publicada en el 2009.

Junji Ito is a mangaka recognized for his ability to create amazing horror stories, I could see that when I read Uzumaki, an excellent work that mixes spirals and an affected town. I was recently able to read the short manga, Black Paradox, which is by the same author. Published in 2009.

Sinopsis: 4 jóvenes han decidido suicidarse colectivamente, tras reunirse y fracasar en el intento, comienzan a ocurrir cosas extrañas, como el de existencia de dobles de algunos, o peor aún, que uno de los personajes comienza a vomitar unas esferas relucientes. Los personajes poco a poco, tratan de explicar el misterio de las esferas y otros sucesos relativos.

Synopsis: 4 young people have decided to commit suicide collectively, after meeting and failing in the attempt, strange things begin to happen, such as the existence of doubles of some of them, or worse, that one of the characters begins to vomit some glowing spheres. Little by little, the characters try to explain the mystery of the spheres and other related events.

Lo primero que resalta de esta obra, es que te inmersa rápidamente en un mundo de sucesos extraños, eso mezclado con un dibujo que en muchos momentos logra mostrar gráficamente el horror, deja un buen resultado. Los personajes que si bien son pocos, acaban siendo interesantes.

The first thing that stands out about this work is that it quickly immerses you in a world of strange events, that mixed with a drawing that in many moments manages to graphically show the horror, leaves a good result. The characters, although few, end up being interesting.

Lo que siento que falla es que el tramo final no está del todo bien trabajado, y se siente como un final apresurado, creo que incluso se pudo ahondar más en las ideas de las almas que se estaba desarrollando.

What I feel that fails is that the final section is not quite well worked, and feels like a rushed ending, I think it could have delved deeper into the ideas of the souls that were being developed.

Como obra corta está bien, destaca mucho la capacidad del autor de meternos rápidamente en sus mundos de horrores. Recomendable.
