Adam Sandler a pesar de su fama de sólo hacer películas malas, de vez en cuando sale con buenos títulos, este me parece el caso en esta ocasión. Se estrenó hace poco en Netflix. Fue dirigido por Jeremiah Zagar.

Adam Sandler despite his reputation of only making bad movies, occasionally comes out with good titles, this seems to me to be the case on this occasion. It was recently released on Netflix. It was directed by Jeremiah Zagar.

Sinopsis: Stanley Sugerman es un reclutador de jugadores profesional, para un equipo de basketball. Luego de tener unos días con muchos eventos con la directiva, vuelve a la búsqueda de talento. Es en ello, que por accidente, conoce a un jugador español desconocido para todos, y él decide sacar a la luz.

Synopsis: Stanley Sugerman is a professional player recruiter, for a basketball team. After having a few days with many events with the board, he returns to the search for talent. It is in this, that by accident, he meets a Spanish player unknown to all, and he decides to bring him to light.

En muchos aspectos, sientes que es una trama ya explorada varias veces, pero lo que destaca es el nivel de producción que se le ha dado; sin dejar de ser interesante con sus diversos giros y problemas. La historia es interesante, pero siento que necesito un mejor trabajo en el tramo final.

In many ways, you feel that it is a plot already explored several times, but what stands out is the level of production that has been given to it; while still being interesting with its various twists and problems. The story is interesting, but I feel it needs a better job in the final stretch.

El film tiene bastantes cambios de humor y puede ser bastante dinámico, eso sumado a una gran edición, genera momentos mágicos. Casi por la mitad, donde se da la parte del entrenamiento, es un sin parar de casi 20 minutos, y que funciona. Por otro lado no deja la modernidad, y muestra como el streaming o tik tok actuales puede servir para el marketing.

The film has quite a few changes of mood and can be quite dynamic, that added to a great editing, generates magical moments. Almost in the middle, where the training part takes place, it's a non-stop of almost 20 minutes, and it works. On the other hand, it does not leave the modernity, and shows how the current streaming or tik tok can be used for marketing.

Donde también destaca es en varias canciones que apoyan a las escenas de entrenamiento o de partidos; entre ellas Runnin’ de David Dallas y Partiendonos La Madre de Zarcort. Entre las cosas que gustará a los fans de la NBA, son la inclusión de una gran cantidad de ex-jugadores en el título

Where it also stands out is in several songs that support the training or match scenes; among them Runnin' by David Dallas and Partiendonos La Madre by Zarcort. Among the things that will please NBA fans are the inclusion of a large number of former players in the title.

Me gustó la película, espero más títulos con este nivel de producción, especialmente en la edición. Recomendable.
