Las últimas películas de Pixar no han llamado mucho la atención, y es que a viejos clásicos como Toy Story, Wall-E o Los Increíbles; no se le han sumado nuevos. Esta vez tienen una nueva oportunidad con su nuevo título que acabo de ver en streaming. Su director es Peter Sohn.
Pixar's latest films have not attracted much attention, and old classics like Toy Story, Wall-E or The Incredibles have not been joined by new ones. This time they have a new opportunity with their new title that I just saw in streaming. Its director is Peter Sohn.
Sinopsis: En una ciudad donde conviven seres-elementos, entre ellos agua, aire, tierra y fuego, vive nuestra protagonista fuego Ember. Ella está a poco de suceder la tienda de su padre; sin embargo, un accidente le hará cooperar con un inspector de elemento agua, Wade. Entre ellos, tendrán que resolver varios problemas, a la vez que descubrirán el amor.
Synopsis: In a city where beings-elements coexist, among them water, air, earth and fire, lives our protagonist fire Ember. She is about to succeed her father's store; however, an accident will make her cooperate with a water element inspector, Wade. Between them, they will have to solve several problems, while discovering love.
Si bien el contexto es interesante, y sirve para mostrar situaciones en un mundo habitado por elementos, la historia acaba siendo demasiado predecible. Ya que trata sobre dos personajes en que surge una especie de amor prohibido, pero no hay mucha profundidad. Aunque, si deja ciertas escenas bien realizadas, como es la escena final o la visita a una especie de museo.
While the context is interesting, and serves to show situations in a world inhabited by elements, the story ends up being too predictable. Since it is about two characters in which a kind of forbidden love arises, but there is not much depth. Although, if it leaves certain scenes well done, as is the final scene or the visit to a kind of museum.
Los personajes secundarios si bien hay unos cuantos, acaban siendo solo meros acompañantes a la pareja principal, con poco desarrollo. Es lamentable, la falta de intriga o tensión.
The secondary characters, although there are a few, end up being mere companions to the main couple, with little development. The lack of intrigue or tension is regrettable.
Lo buenos son los otros aspectos de la película, desde una interesante animación que se nota prueba cosas nuevas, hasta la música con diversas canciones que funcionan bien.
What is good are the other aspects of the film, from an interesting animation that you can feel trying new things, to the music with several songs that work well.
En general, acaba siendo un título que si bien tiene buenos e incluso excelente aspectos técnicos, la trama ni el desarrollo de los personajes acompañan al resultado final. Una película que no creo que se recuerde mucho.
Overall, it ends up being a title that although it has good and even excellent technical aspects, neither the plot nor the development of the characters accompany the final result. A film that I don't think will be remembered much.
